Sandyhill Celtic wrapped up the Premier B division with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Howth Celtic and can now look forward to a week in the sunshine of Portugal. Well done to gary McCormack and club secretary Dave Managen. Whitehall Celtic also claimed the runners up spot with a 3-0 win over Ashbourne United and will be playing Premier A football next season. On his 60th birthday Whitehall Celtic Secretary Brendan White just could not believe it he said it was the best birthday present he had ever had. Well done to manager Matt Jenkinson and his assistant Colm Hayden.

Four A U L players were in the starting eleven for the Republic of Ireland team that beat the Isle of Man in Rathfriland in Co Down on Wednesday night in the Umbro Quadrangular Tournament.Conor Dillon St Kevins Boys, Ger McCarthy Ashbourne United, Dave Conroy Ballymun United and David Lacey Killester United were the starting four and Ross Carrig of Killester United was on the bench for what was a very hard fought 1-0 win. Their next game is tonight Thursday the 22nd against Northern Ireland in Banbridge with their final game on Saturday against Scotland. Scotland beat Northern ireland 2-0 in their first game.

The following AUL players have been selected for the Republic of Ireland Senior Futsal squad for the forthcoming matches against Norway at the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght on Tuesday March 30 and Wednesday March 31 (both 8pm KO). This followes our recent succesfull Futsal Tournament Quarter Final finish where we eventually went out on penalties to the eventual winners Sporting Fingal. The Quarter Final draw for the Nivea for Men Cup will be held tomorrow night Monday the 8th in the St.Pauls Artane clubhouse at 7.30 pm sharp. F A I President Mr Dave Blood and F A I CEO Mr John Delaney will be in attendence along with Mr John McKeown the MD of Biersdorf Irl who are the Nivea brand in Ireland.
