Club friendly matches must always be sanctioned by the League whose club is hosting the game. Send an email to info@aul.ie for all AUL friendlies.

Club Secretaries please keep up the good work and continue to contact the opposition and match official in plenty of time to confirm the game goes ahead. Also please contact your fixture secretary if your game is off as the referee may be available then to officiate at another game. As club Secretary it is your responsibility to ensure everyone is contacted about the fixture.

When you are looking for a free weekend contact you fixture secretary as well as the LFA leinsterfa@gmail.com and the FAI dcruisecitylaw@eircom.net giving two weeks notice.

As the season is up and running we would ask all clubs to get their house in order now. Make sure as Secretary the registration forms are filled in correctly, Date of Birth, Club last played for, Player actually signs the form, all these thing will be checked when you leave them in to the office and if not filled in correctly they will be returned to you. It is your responsibility to correctly register your players the AUL will only try and make sure you do but it is not up to the AUL to Register the player correctly.

Be aware of the ITC. If you are signing a player who has come back to live in Ireland or has arrived to live here ask the question “did you play in and organised League last season” and if the answer is yes that player may require an International Transfer Certificate.

Keep an eye on the pitch you are going to play on and do not be afraid to ask for it to be cut if you feel it is not getting looked after properly. Strike up a relationship with the park ranger and he may be able to help you with any problems you may have with the pitch or dressing rooms.

Have all you playing gear in order, check it now and top up where you need to top up.
